What is the HCG Diet?

The original HCG diet plan includes hormone injections and a 500-calorie intake. It sounds extreme, but it works effectively. In fact, people have claimed to lose 1-2lbs per day on this diet. One of the main reasons for its effectiveness is the restricted calorie intake. When you reduce your calorie intake to 500 calories each day, it is easy to see how one can lose weight fast. However, it is not possible to complete the official HCG diet without taking the hormone itself which comes in various forms: HCG diet injections, HCG diet drops, and HCG diet pills.Does HCG Diet Help You Lose Weight?

The specific gonadotropin hormone is what suppresses the appetite and allows you to significantly reduce your calorie consumption. Without it, you would be starving all day long. With it, you won’t even notice you’ve halved your calorie intake at least twice. In short, you cannot do the diet without the hormone formula. So before you start on the diet, you need to invest in the liquid. Afterwards, you can follow the HCG diet planning.

In addition to the HCG diet formula, you also have a set of HCG diet plan guidelines you need to follow to get the best effects. That includes a specific HCG diet food list, menu and plan.

HCG Diet Plan Guide Food List

Before we go into the diet plan, let’s first take a look at the foods you can eat on the HCG diet. Here is a list of HCG diet approved foods.

Fruits: apples, oranges, grapefruit, strawberries, blueberries

Vegetables: onions, tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, cucumbers, celery, cauliflower, asparagus

Lean meats: chicken, crabs, white fish, lean beef, shrimp

In other words, you should steer clear of added sugar, fatty foods, and starchy fruits and vegetables.

Here’s Your Official HCG Diet Plan

The HCG diet plan comes in four different phase consisting of various HCG diet plan foods. Each phase is carefully planned which its own set of specific guidelines. You will only get the best HCG diet results when you follow the phases.

hcg diet phase 1

The HCG diet plan phase 1 is known as the Loading Phase. It’s the easiest and only lasts two days. In P1, you can pretty much eat whatever you like. The more fatty, high-calorie foods the better. You need to store as much fat as possible in order to store plenty of abnormal body fat to get you through phase 2.

hcg diet phase 2

The HCG diet plan phase 2 can also be called the weight loss phase. This is the strict part of the diet and the most challenging of the HCG diet phases. It includes following a 500 calorie diet / 800 Calorie Diet od 1200 Calorie Diet, doing minimal exercise and taking HCG diet injections or drops on a regular basis. This phase lasts from 26 days to 40 days.

hcg diet phase 3

Phase 3 of the HCG diet is also known as the transition phase. This is the phase that comes after rapid weight loss. This phase lasts three weeks and comprises of re-introducing foods not allowed on phase two of the HCG diet. However, sugars and starches are still not permitted. It’s a process of increasing the calorie intake from foods on the phase 2 HCG diet food list while adding healthy fats into the equation too. Examples include salmon, avocado, nuts, tuna and nut butter.

hcg diet phase 4

Now for the official HCG diet plan phase 4. This one is called the lifelong maintenance phase. It’s basically about maintaining the health and wellness habits you picked up in phase 2 and 3. Continue eating in the same way you did in the previous phase, with limited foods not allowed in that phase. Now is also the time to increase physical activity.

Free HCG Diet Menu

Now we are going to guide you through the free hcg diet plan meals for each phase. With the following free hcg diet plan guide, you will have a clear idea what you can eat. It will be easier to stick to once you have the free hcg diet plan right in front of you.

Phase 1, as we mentioned before, is all about getting enough fat in the body to help you get through the next phase. Good choices include: pizza, fried chicken, cheese, and high-fat desserts like doughnuts and cake.

To prevent possible digestive problems during this phase, make sure you add some fiber to your diet. Snacking on small salads and whole wheat crackers help provide the necessary fiber that you need.

800 calorie hcg diet menu

The 2018 HCG diet is basically an updated version of the original diet. The only difference is the calorie consumption. With the original, it’s 500 calories. With Doctor Richard Lipman’s version of the diet, it goes up to 800 calories.

Lipman recognized that few people are comfortable with reducing their daily calorie intake to 500. He felt it was safer to stick to an 800 calorie diet instead. Other than that, the diet remains the same. Even the 800 calorie hcg diet plan food list isn’t much different to the original version.

Here’s your 800 hcg diet sample menu in case you’re interested in trying it.

Breakfast: 1 shake.

Snack: cheese wedge.

Lunch: 1 portion of turkey breast. Portion of broccoli.

Snack: 1 apple.

Dinner: white fish with green salad.

So this is your 800 calorie hcg diet menu plan that you can use and play around with if you like the idea of consuming more calories on the HCG diet.

HCG diet plan reviews

Want to hear hcg diet plan reviews from people who did it? Several people have left their own personal thoughts on following the HCG diet protocol.

15 to a size 4 with the HCG diet

I went from a size 15 to a size 4 with the HCG diet planner. I can’t remember the last time I looked this good in jeans. Seriously, I could not be more impressed with the results. Some people give this diet a bad rep because of the extreme calorie restriction but I was surprised at how great I felt, in spite of cutting out all those calories. In fact, I felt full of energy.

I bought a HCG diet recipes book and followed that through phase 2, 3 and 4. That helped a lot. It made the diet a lot more interesting. I know the food list is a bit small but you can still make delicious meals with the right recipes. I’m going to keep going with this for sure!

There is no doubt about it

There are pros and cons to the hcg diet plan. First off, if you think a one-off 20z bottle of the hormone formula will shed the weight for good, you are mistaken. I only did the 4 hcg diet plan treatment phases of the diet and then returned to normal, with slightly better eating habits. Within a couple of weeks, the weight returned.

For that reason, I recommend you keep going with this diet and using the drops if you want to stay slim.

On the positive side, if you stick to the HCG diet menus and keep taking the injections, you will see a big difference. There is no doubt about it, the hcg diet work.  You’ve just got to expect to keep buying the formula to keep the weight off.

I’ve never lost weight so fast

I was wondering what to eat on hcg diet phase 2 because you don’t really have a lot of choice. But then I found a great hcg diet meal plan recipes free and that helped me a lot. And the results were totally worth it! I’ve never lost weight so fast. This is by far the most effective diet I’ve tried and it’s not so expensive either.

Recommended!

Since my teen years, I’ve been suffering from polycystic ovary disorder so I’ve always struggled with my weight. Like anyone trying to lose weight, I tried everything. I tried the juice diet, the atkins diet, and I even purchased a gym membership card to try and shed some pounds. Unfortunately, my motivation always fizzled out and it was just hard to stick to these strict diets.

I saw youtube hcg diet before and after photos and decided to give that a try. While it is strict, you always have the amazing help from the hcg diet shots. They get rid of the hunger and help you get through the 500 calorie limit. Recommended!

I lost 42lbs

In two rounds of 30-day HCG diet injections, I lost 42lbs. I could finally wear clothes I wore a decade ago! My weight has always been an issue. I’m glad to finally find a solution. Although I did experience dizziness and headaches during the first few days of phase 2. But I kept going and it did go away eventually. I was even comfortable with the 500 calorie HCG diet instructions. Believe it or not, it was too hard.

It’s awesome

I gained a lot of weight after suffering with an illness a few years ago. Since then, it’s been hard to keep my weight at a healthy level. Last year I tried the juice diet and that helped, but it took a while before I saw results. Then I discovered HCG diet supplements online and ordered them to see how effective they were.

Amazing is the only word I can find to describe the results.

I’m on phase 4 of the diet so far and the results are spectacular. After the break, I will continue going with this diet. The only disadvantages of the hcg diet is the diet plan. I need to find more good recipes to keep things interesting. But the results are totally worth it. You see results in the first few days! It’s awesome.

You see amazing changes fast

Would definitely use these drops again. The first four phases were a struggle at first, but your body does adjust. So even if you find it hard at the beginning, trust me, it will get easier. You just have to remember it’s a big change for the body, when you limit it to 500 calories. But if you want big changes, you need to make big changes. The cool thing is, you see amazing changes fast with the HCG diet.
